This research is a comparative study of two novels written in the 21st century by two female authors from different countries and cultures in the light of feminist literary theory. These novels are Woman at Point Zero by Nawal El- Saadawi, the Egyptian novelist, and A strange woman by Leyla Erbil, the Turkish novelist. In the first part, feminist literary criticism in Egypt is presented in detail, regarding the female literary experience, womens relations with other people and customs, traditions and relationships from Nawal El-Saadawis point of view.

Dr. Sabry Tawfeek Hammam, Assistant professor of Sohag university, faculty of arts. Has many published researches in conferences in Egypt and Turkey. Translated over 18 books from Turkish to Arabic. Has many articles in Arabic and Turkish magazines. Was a supervisor for many master and PhD. Won the University Incentive Prize in 2015.
