The oriented of this book is mainly to the academic researchers and students. It provides a comprehensive introduction to computational models of new Swarm Intelligence, in the world of artificial intelligence, a field that emerged from the biological research. The book illustrates mathematical models and MATLAB simulation to mimic the organisms behavior such as ant colonies, beehives, swarms of birds, and fish populations. The contents of this book allow the reader to learn about the technical and theoretical aspects and the applications of intelligent swarms. The aim of this book is learn how to take advantage of the use of scientific applications of modern technology and scientific research in transforming intelligent nature systems to artificial systems that characterized by high precision and collective life. That is based on cooperation and precision to achieve the goal to stay and live in safety and away from risk and to use the best scientific methods and developments continuing in the field of artificial intelligence, such us colonies of ants, bees and fish as well as flocks of birds and Shuffle Frog Leaping.

Autorenportrait

Hamid Ali Abed Alasadi received BSc (1987) and MSc (1994) degrees in electrical engineering and communication engineering from Basra University, Basra, Iraq. He awarded PhD degree from the UPM Malaysia in optical fiber communication and computer systems in 2011. He is a full professor in computer and communication engineering at Basra University.
