Zusatztext
The purpose of this book is to show how a proposal of an appropriate care model for HIV positive nurses was arrived at. It comprised of a journey where at initial stage HIV positive nurses went into hiding their HIV sero positive status and this made them go far to seek services for people living with HIV, yet those services were also offered at their door step, that is, at their place of work. Grounded theory methodology enabled the investigation of the structure and process of care for HIV positive nurses at a regional hospital. The theory that emerged known as, journey into recognized care for HIV positive nurses, had strategies that could impact positively on practice, research and policy in a way that would help improve the inadequate structure and process of care for HIV positive nurses in a similar context.
