Zusatztext
Local Government in many countries faces a myriad of challenges. Some of the problems are inclined towards structural arrangements and leadership, operations and human capital. South Africa as a developing state is in the process of discovering these imbalances and setting up mechanisms and systems of addressing them. It will certainly take a while and probably results will start to show in the next century (2100). Collapsing the walls of apartheid and systems of segregation will not be an overnight event. Scholars and researchers and stakeholders should continue to improve the realization of the local government developmental objects. It is critical also to consider a rethink and new approach to running Local Government. It must be appreciated however that, Local Government in South Africa has improved significantly over the past two decades. More people have access to clean portable water, have decent sanitation, have access to road infrastructure, more households are connected to the electricity grids and indeed, South Africa is a rainbow nation embracing peace and love. We continue to say "No to Xenophobia and perpetrators"
