This book illustrates how to deal with a migrating intrauterine contraceptive device (IUCD) in a practical manner mainly utilizing endoscopic approach. It starts by describing normal placement and essential prerequisites for proper insertion. A detailed description of four types of IUCD migration with description of the best approach of dealing with each type. More discussion of a simplified technique of laparoscopic appendectomy is described at the end before keynote points.

Dr Atef Darwish MD PhD was born in Assiut, Egypt. Currently, he is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Faculty of Medicine, Assiut University since July 2005. He is the director of Early Cervical Cancer Detection and Endoscopy Units of the Woman's Health University Hospital.
