Punjabi is one of the largest spoken languages of the world. In Pakistan Punjab is the largest populated area where a number of castes (social groups) exist with different identities and stereotypes communication is the hallmark of the Punjabi society in Pakistan. The current study is the part of earlier researches made on stereotypes communication across the world. This study explores caste-stereotypes in Punjabi language which is new dimension from a sociolinguistics point of view. This much-needed book will be hopefully welcomed by the students and the researchers alike from the fields of linguistics, sociolinguistics, anthropology and sociology.

Malik Mehmood Ul Hassan, the author of this book in hand, is currently Head of the Department of English at the University of Lahore, Pakpattan Campus, Pakistan. He has deep insight and close observation of the Punjabi society. Exploring Stereotypes' Communication in Punjabi society is his chief research interest into Sociolinguistics.
