This book attempts to offer a general overview on the mythology, archetypes, and unconscious mind, especially the theory of scapegoat archetype and its unconscious influence on human's actions and behaviour. In addition to presenting clear and understandable information, the writer of this book also applies the theoretical concepts in three literary works by two well-known authors, i.e. Edward Albee and H. G. Wells.

Azam Jahangiri was born in 1982, MIS, Iran.She is a member of faculty at IAU, Shoushtar Branch,Shoushtar, Iran. She has published some literary articles in the international journals and translated a book in criticism.She is currently studying as a Ph.D studentof English Literature in Kish International Campus, Tehran University, Iran.
