For 70 years the diary of the Jewish pianist Cäcilie Lewissohn has languished in the archives. It appears for the first time as a complete German-English annotated volume. Stephen Graeme Hodgson was born in London in 1964. He read Russian and German History at the School of Slavonic & East European Studies, the University of London, and went on to study at the Technical University of Berlin under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Benz. His previous work includes a biography of Rudolf Hess.
