"Prayer is the key of the morning and the bolt of the evening." - M.K. Gandhi. On the disciples' request Lord Jesus gives the prayer, Our Father in heaven. Both the praise and petition are raised collectively in it, not individually. So keeping in mind of Our Lord let us also prefer to pray for all beings rather than for ourselves. The people who find no time for long prayers in the modern world can lift up their own souls to God the Father through these meditative prayers. Besides that the book 'The Cross' will be useful for meditation for the monks, priests, nuns, etc. who try to lead a committed life.

Fr. Josely Kalathil is a Roman Catholic priest and a member of the religious order, The Indian Missionary Society. He is from Kerala, India. He has a diploma in fine arts. At present, he is performing his priestly ministry in Arkansas in the Little Rock Diocese of the USA. The Cross is the 6th book he has published.
