'The Provision of Pharmaceuticals by Pharmacists within the German Compulsory Health Care System as Regulated in § 129 SGB V' The work deals with the rules concerning pharmacists as actors within the German compulsory health care system which are laid down in § 129 SGB V. Especially, pharmacists are obliged to substitute prescribed drugs by cheaper drugs of the same active substance. Alongside, a system of collective contracts establishes a considerable number of further obligations. The work also discusses the legal relationships between pharmacists, health insurance funds and insured persons.

Autorenportrait

Philipp Weiß studied law at Heidelberg University from 2009 until 2014. Thereafter, he worked as a scientific assistant at the chair of social law and public law (Prof. Dr. Peter Axer) from 2014 until 2017 whilst writing his doctoral thesis. Since 2017, he has been conducting his legal clerkship at the higher regional court of Karlsruhe.
