This book subsumes a number of everyday conversational situations in English where students and other people interested in learning English can find as a rich source that would enable them to use English communicatively. The provision of vocabulary at the beginning of each unit is expected to facilitate understanding of the situational dialogues set in the book. Likewise, the title of "Sentences" includes sentences derived from everyday situations and are expected to contribute to the understanding of the topics.

Professor Dr. Hussein Ali Ahmed Al-Jarjary was born in 1957. He got his B.A. in Translation 1978 and M.A. in Scientific English 1981 from College of Arts, University of Mosul. Dr. Al-Jarjary got his Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from University of Stirling/ Scotland/ United Kingdom in 1990.
