Synthetic and characteristic aspects of some inorganic nanomaterials and their applications, including clean energy, environmental protection and abrasive polishing, are within the scope of this book. These inorganic nanomaterials involve metal (nickel), nonmetal (carbon), semimetal (antimony and bismuth) and compounds (oxide, hydroxide, fluoride and silicate), which have all sorts of morphologies such as nanoparticles, nanorods, nanobelts, hollow spheres, porous films, core-shell structures, and so on.

Meng Zhang is an Associate Professor at Henan University of Technology (China). He received his Ph. D. (2007) in Chemistry from University of Science and Technology of China. As a visiting scholar, he studied at Politecnico di Torino (Italy) from 2010 to 2011. His current research mainly focuses on nanomaterials for energy conversion and storage.
