Tooth discolouration, especially anterior tooth discolouration, creates a wide range of problems, primarily cosmetic for the patient, which could sometimes hamper his/her social well-being and self-confidence. Alterations in colour may be physiologic or pathologic and endogenous or exogenous in nature. An increasing number of people want their teeth to be whiter and brighter and to achieve that, more and more people are opting for bleaching of their teeth. This book thus enumerates various methods and techniques available for whitening of teeth.
