It is generally stated that the standard of living of the people can be judged by per capital production and consumption of fruits. Fruits crops are capable of giving higher tonnage of yield per unit area than other field crops. The book consists of chapters on Introduction, Classification and Production Technology. The authors hope that the book in its present form serve the students interest effectively.

P.M.Suresh obtained his M.Sc.(Hort.) and Ph.D.(Hort.) in Horticulture degrees in the year 2008 and 2014 respectively from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) Coimbatore. He has published 10 research articles, more than 20 popular articles and three books.
