This volume combines perspectives from archaeology, ancient history, and urban, biblical, and religious studies to provide an overall picture of the lively port city of Corinth from its founding as a Roman colonia to late antiquity. Beyond the ethnic diaspora, the festivals of the various cults became places to gather for the cults of Isis, Demeter, Kore, and the imperial cult as well as Paul's Christian community.
