Liberal democracy is under pressure. Citizens are questioning the legitimacy of institutions and decisions and, thanks to social media, are more audible and visible than ever. People in the public sphere receive rapid, sometimes brutal feedback. This raises the question of how public address and advocacy can succeed today. How can convictions be explained?
