Jesus of Nazareth represents a challenge to us if we see him as he was and what he stood for: the coming of the kingdom of God and the beginning of a new life of reconciliation which transcends all rejections and disagreements. Even as he was being crucified, he upheld the unconditional love of God for all men. He died with this love and rose from the dead in this love, being one with God and alive for everyone to whom he is evident and to whom he as Christ reveals God. By looking at Jesus as a person, Traugott Koch's interpretation explains how the New Testament declaration of the belief in Christ and the church Christology and also the separation of Judaism and Christianity came about.
