Luther himself gave cause to see in his opposition to philosophy one of the crucial characteristics of his theological thinking. Nevertheless, his thinking stands in a philosophical tradition. This volume brings together contributions that examine the influence that philosophers had on Luther and that Luther exerted on philosophy.
