Migration policies continue to be a matter of public concern. Many of the more recent publications on the subject analyze the matter from the perspective of a failure of established institutions and a disregard for legal obligations. Without playing down the challenges of the current developments, the present volume intends to overcome the predominant perception of a "crisis" and places the emphasis on options for shaping future migration policies. Since the field is characterized by normative obligations stemming from all levels of law, the contributions analyze the options for future regulation from the level of international law, to EU and national constitutional law, to a possible future administrative law of integration.
