Zusatztext
Throughout all of his life, Joseph Schumpeter, the Austrian economist and politician, faced the problem of explaining the economic development of capitalism. In his late work, he dealt with its sociopolitical implications. In his famous work Capitalism, Socialism and Democracy , which was published during the Second World War after he had emigrated to the USA, Schumpeter dealt with political science and sociology and in particular with fiscal sociology. His contributions to democracy and to socialism continue to be of interest today. How do his analyses contribute to a better understanding of the market and the political system?
