This volume summarizes the results of the 31st Conference of the Society for Comparative Law which was held between September 20th and September 22nd in Halle. In addition to general standard topics, it contains articles on public law, European law, labor and social law as well as on criminal law. The authors of the articles, some of which are in English, study the influence of two basic phenomena, globalization and denationalization, on modern legal developments worldwide from various perspectives. These two phenomena interact with each other in different ways, the various features and facets of which are analyzed in detail.
