Zusatztext
In the history of philosophical and theological thinking, there has scarcely been a subject which has aroused as much interest as the subject of truth, and scarcely a subject has remained as much in need of clarification as that of the truth of perspectives and perspectives of truth. Based on the history of the problem of perspectivity, from the origination of the central perspective, its decline in the modern age up to the present plurality of perspectives, the authors of the articles in this volume look into the dispute about the truth. Their objective is to ascertain how truth functions in various contexts and in practice, beyond the common distinctions between the concept of truth, the theories of truth and the criteria of truth, in order to avoid the aporia of a sweeping skepticism about truth as well as that of a mere emphasis on truth.
