This book offers a comprehensive overview of Europe beyond the EU. The contributing authors examine the foundations, form, and future of relations between the EU and the European non-EU countries and territories. On this basis, the editors seek to identify patterns of interaction that can inform our understanding of differentiated integration. As the book not only investigates the legal and institutional dimensions of differentiated integration but also explores public perceptions and expectations, it also contributes to the societal turn in the differentiation literature more generally.
