<p><strong>John Long</strong> is an Emeritus Professor of Cognitive Engineering at the University College London (UCL). He earned an M.A. in Modern Languages from the University of Cambridge, a B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Hull, as well as a Ph.D. from Cambridge and a D.Sc. from UCL. Between 1979¿2001, he held the positions of Reader, Professor of Cognitive Ergonomics, Director for the Ergonomics and HCI Unit¿EU (which preceded the UCL Interaction Clinic, UCLIC), and Director of Studies for both the M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs.</p>
