<b>Péter Hartl</b> is a research fellow at the Institute of Philosophy, Research Centre for the Humanities, Budapest (formerly known as Hungarian Academy of Sciences). He is a member of MTA-Lendület Morals and Values Research Group. His research focuses on epistemology, philosophy of science and history of philosophy. He co-edited <i>The Value of Truth</i> special issue for <i>Synthese</i> and the volume entitled <i>Science, Freedom, Democracy </i>(published by <i>Routledge</i>, 2021)<i>. </i>Also, his<i> </i>co-edited volume entitled <i>Metatheories of Disagreement</i> is forthcoming by Wiley-Blackwell. Hartl authored papers on Michael Polanyi¿s philosophy including "The ethos of science and central planning: Merton and Michael Polanyi on the Autonomy of Science" published in <i>Science, Freedom, Democracy </i>(Routledge, 2021).
