<div>This work is dedicated to Dr. Victor W. Fazio, formerly the Chairman of the Department of Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, who served as a mentor to a generation of physicians and surgeons from around the world. The intended audience is students, residents, and Fellows interested in gastroenterology and colorectal surgery. The book contains more than 200 clinical case studies on subjects that deal with medical and surgical problems of the anus, rectum, colon, and small intestine. Anatomy, operative photographs, diagnostic imaging, endoscopy, histopathology, and historical perspective are emphasized. Contemporary artwork, created by the Cleveland Clinic Medical Illustration Team, provides cohesion to the whole. All cases were contributed by practitioners associated with the Cleveland Clinic. </div>
