Zusatztext

This book will provide readers with a good overview of some of most recent advances in the field of technology for perovskite materials. There will be a good mixture of general chapters in both technology and applications in opto-electronics, Xray detection and emerging transistor structures. The book will have an in-depth review of the research topics from world-leading specialists in the field.  The authors build connections between the materials physical properties to the main applications such as photovoltaics, LED, FETs and X-ray sensors.  They also discuss the similarities and main differences when using perovskites for those devices.

Autorenportrait

Wanyi Nie graduated from Wake Forest University with a Ph.D. degree in physics in late 2012. Her Ph.D. thesis was on the optimization of organic photovoltaics. She later joined Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in Material Physics and Application Division (MPA) as a postdoc associate and directors funded postdoc fellow from 2013 to 2016 working on interfacial charge transfer states of organic electronics. Since 2016, she has been working as a staff scientist at LANL leading a team to develop novel semiconductors and opto-electronic devices. The main research projects at her group include perovskite photovoltaics, light emitting diodes, X-ray/Gamma-ray detectors and imagers. She is also a scientist at Center of Integrated Nanotechnology at LANL, a DOE user facility. Wanyi is an active reviewer for peer reviewed journals, such as Nature, Nature Energy, Nature Electronics, Nature Communications, Science Advances, JACS, Advanced Materials etc; and she also serves as a reviewer for several funding agents (LANL Laboratory Directed Research Direction Office, DOE office of science, and other international grant offices). Krzysztof (Kris) Iniewski is managing R&D development activities at Redlen Technologies Inc., a detector company based in British Columbia, Canada. During his 15 years at Redlen he has managed development of highly integrated CZT detector products in medical imaging and security applications. Prior to Redlen Kris hold various management and academic positions at PMC-Sierra, University of Alberta, SFU, UBC and University of Toronto.  Dr. Iniewski has published over 150+ research papers in international journals and conferences. He holds 20+ international patents granted in USA, Canada, France, Germany, and Japan. He wrote and edited several books for Wiley, Cambridge University Press, Mc-Graw Hill, CRC Press and Springer. He is a frequent invited speaker and has consulted for multiple organizations internationally.
