Emerita Professor of Theology, Candler School of Theology of Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, Pearson is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. Along with many articles and curriculum studies, she is also the author of<i>Mother Roots: The Female Ancestors of Jesus</i>.
