Autorenportrait

Don Whitney serves as the Professor of Biblical Spirituality and the John H. Powell Professor of Pastoral Ministry at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. He is also the founder and director of the Center for Biblical Spirituality. Previously he served as Professor of Biblical Spirituality and Associate Dean for the School of Theology at Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY. Before becoming a seminary professor, Whitney pastored Glenfield Baptist Church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago) for nearly 15 years. In total, he has dedicated 24 years to pastoral ministry in local churches, both full-time and part-time.
