White Rose, Red Rose symbols of nonviolent resistance, freedom, and love. With these forty short poems Johnny Baranski and David Rosen arrange a bouquet of hope. While our world is under threat of so many dangers, nuclear weapons, terrorism, racial division, and climate change to mention just a few, it is their belief that the language of flowers will prevail.

Johnny Baranski has been writing haiku and its related forms for over forty years. He is the author of several chapbooks, including:<i>Pencil Flowers: Jail Haiku</i>;<i>Convicts Shoot the Breeze</i>;<i> Just a Stone's Throw</i>; and<i>Blossoming Pear</i>. His newest collection<i>Fireweed</i> will appear in the Folded Word Press chapbook series for 2019. A member of the Haiku Society of America, Haiku Canada, and the Portland Haiku Group, Mr. Baranski lives in Vancouver, Washington.<br><br><br><br> David H. Rosen is the author of such wide-ranging books as:<i>Transforming Depression: Healing the Soul through Creativity</i>;<i> The Tao of Elvis</i>;<i> Time, Love and Licorice</i>; and<i> The Healing Spirit of Haiku</i>.
