Prior to that, he taught Greek and biblical studies at Gordon-Conwell Seminary for thirteen years, and for nine years he pastored Christ Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Nashua, NH. He has contributed to a number of books and study Bibles and has published scholarly reviews and articles in journals along with popular articles in various periodicals.
