Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi is a Ugandan novelist, short story writer, and poet. She has a Ph.D. in creative writing from Lancaster University and her doctoral novel,<i>The Kintu Saga</i>, won the Kwani Manuscript Project in 2013.
