GILES SCOTT-SMITH is a Senior Researcher with the Roosevelt Study Center in Middelburg, the Netherlands. Since 2009 he has held the Ernst van der Beugel Chair in the Diplomatic History of Transatlantic Relations since WW II at Leiden University. <BR><BR><BR>
