The Man in the Corner is a story about an unnamed armchair detective who appears in a series of short stories written by Baroness Orczy. He examines and solves crimes while sitting in the corner of a genteel London tea room in conversation with a female journalist. Excerpt: "The man in the corner pushed aside his glass, and leaned across the table. "Mysteries!" he commented. "There is no such thing as a mystery in connection with any crime, provided intelligence is brought to bear upon its investigation."
