'The Hosts of the Lord' is a Christian-themed novel written by Flora Annie Steel. The story begins by introducing us to three men: Dr. George Dillon, Captain Vincent Dering, and Lance Carlyon. Captain Dering and Lance Carlyon are in charge of a garrison town and preparing for the arrival of the Viceroy. Dr. Dillon is worried about the arrival of the Viceroy as it will bring more people to the area and disrupt the current peaceful arrangement.
