'Rudder Grange' is a novel written by Frank Richard Stockton. The story begins as a couple, Euphemia and the narrator, search for a rental home. Despite all their efforts, they have yet to find one that meets their criteria: a furnished house in a country location near the city, and not in a mosquito-infested area. They nearly find a suitable house, but it is unfurnished, and the landlord is not willing to furnish it as per their agreement.
